There is no respite for the US dollar in the currency markets as the DXY index is only heading south. The DXY index, which measures the performance of the US dollar is now at the 99 level. It briefly touched 100 early this month but failed to hold on to its resistance level. The greenback has never been this weak for 12 years and is only losing steam against local currencies. Note: Since not all fundraising activities are disclosed in the same month, these figures may increase in the future. The breakdown by sector is as follows: Among them, CeFi accounted for approximately 6%, DeFi for 27%, NFT/GameFi for 10%, L1/L2 for 8%, RWA/DePIN for 11%, Tool/Wallet for 9%, and AI for 6%. The total fundraising amount in September was $610 million, representing a 23% month-over-month decrease (from $790 million in August 2024) and a 12% year-over-year decrease (from $690 million in September 2023). Crypto ahead in fintech investments in France and Germany in 2023: Report

Europe experienced a 50% fall in fintech investments in the first half of 2023. In the midst of the global fintech market downturn, the crypto and blockchain sector managed to become a leader in investments in a number of major European markets.  According to the report “State of European FinTech”, released by the Amsterdam-based fintech venture fund Finch Capital, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region experienced a 50% drop in fintech investments in the first half of 2023. The total amount of funding fell from $27.3 billion in H1 2022 to $11.2 billion in H1 2023. However, crypto businesses stand out in the overall picture, gaining a leading position in investments attracted across several large markets. French investment firm Melanion Capital’s Bitcoin Equities ETF began trading on the Euronext Amsterdam Stock Exchange on June 22, introducing an equities-based approach to investing in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
